So, a revamp to the site. I fancied a change and the bright yellow will either give me such a headache that I go back to version 2.0 or brighten things up...

I came up with this design about a year ago and never used it so it's been lying around gathering dust so I thought it would be a good idea to see how hard it was to implement.

This part of the site uses a small chunk of JavaScript to govern it's show/hide functionality.

By the way, sjskyline.com has been accessed 126983 times now!

Why should you care about disabled Internet users?

There are 8.6 million registered disabled people in the UK - 14% of the population (source: DRC)
One in 12 men and one in 200 women have some form of colour blindness - 9% of the UK population (source: Institution of Electrical Engineers)
Two million UK residents have a sight problem - 4% of the population (source: RNIB)
There are 12 million people aged 60 or over - 21% of the UK population (source: UK government)

It's not just disabled users who can't access your website:

Not everyone has The latest browser with the latest plug-ins.
Not everyone has Flash or Java installed.
Not everyone has JavaScript enabled.
Not everyone has a fast internet connection so images may take much longer to load.
Some browsers don't display images at all
WebTV, mobile phones, and PDAs all have different ways of supporting (or not) images, Flash and JavaScript.
